Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is tightening its response to phishing related to virtual assets (cryptocurrencies).
According to CoinDesk, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets, on the 2nd (local time) X plans to introduce a system that automatically blocks an account if it posts cryptocurrency-related content for the first time.
Users will be able to post again only after completing additional verification.
X expects the measure to help cut off key channels through which virtual-asset scams spread.
