Iran has dismissed the ceasefire negotiating proposal presented by the United States as unrealistic, saying the likelihood of acceptance is low.

According to BlockBeats, a virtual-asset (cryptocurrency) news outlet, on the 6th Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the 15-point ceasefire proposal delivered by the US via mediating countries was “illogical, as it contains excessive and unusual demands.”

The proposal is reportedly being conveyed through mediators such as Pakistan. Baghaei said that “several days ago, some options were presented through a mediator, and this plan consists of 15 items.”

Iran also said it has already prepared a separate negotiating framework. He added, “Iran has been consolidating its own set of demands based on its national interests and judgment,” and “will disclose them at an appropriate time.”

He also cautioned against interpreting contact with mediating countries as a sign of weakness. Baghaei stressed that “responding quickly to the proposal is not capitulation, but a response based on a sovereign decision.”
