BlockBeats, a cryptocurrency media outlet, reported on Aug. 7 that the Iranian government had rejected a temporary truce with Washington and presented conditions for negotiations aimed at achieving “lasting peace.”

According to the report, Iran is demanding an immediate halt to attacks, guarantees against further strikes and compensation for war damage as preconditions for negotiations.

The report also said Iran plans to charge transit fees to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz as part of a long-term peace agreement. The fees could vary depending on the type of vessel, its cargo and navigation conditions at the time.
