Stablecoin supply on the Ethereum network has exceeded $180 billion, setting a record high.

Cointelegraph, citing data from blockchain analytics firm Token Terminal, reported on July 7 that stablecoin supply on Ethereum totaled about $180 billion as of that day. The figure is up 150% from three years ago and accounts for 60% of total stablecoin supply.

The outlook remains positive. Token Terminal projects that stablecoins will bring $850 billion of new capital to the Ethereum network by 2030. Standard Chartered said in a report late last year that more than $1 trillion could move from the traditional finance system into stablecoins by 2028.

Ethereum also leads the market in both stablecoins and real-world asset tokenization. Major financial institutions including BlackRock, JPMorgan and Amundi have launched tokenized funds on the Ethereum network, Cointelegraph reported.

Nick Ruck, a director at LVRG Research, said the trend supports Ethereum's long-term bull market, driven by asset tokenization and institutional adoption. He added that rival blockchains, regulatory barriers and macroeconomic volatility remain the main obstacles to further gains.
