President Donald Trump denied reports about what he described as 10 conditions tied to ceasefire talks with Iran.

Trump wrote on Truth Social on July 8 that the 10 negotiating terms reported by The New York Times and CNN were "completely fabricated" and "fake news" intended to undermine the peace process.

CNN and other foreign media outlets had earlier reported that the US and Iran discussed 10 conditions during negotiations, including keeping the Strait of Hormuz open.

The remarks came as confusion continued over the terms of the negotiations following a two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.

Markets continue to assess geopolitical risk as uncertainty over the details of the talks has yet to be fully resolved.
