Seoul Fintech Lab will launch a digital-asset service discovery program with XRPL Korea.

The organization said April 9 that it will hold the Korea Financial Innovation Program 2026 to identify innovative ideas for blockchain-based digital assets.

The three-month acceleration program is designed to develop service and product ideas using the XRP Ledger and connect them with commercialization opportunities.

Participating teams will receive phased support including business consulting, technical mentoring, partner networking, legal assistance and investment review. The program also includes an opportunity to join Seoul Fintech Lab as a resident company and support for attending Swell 2026, a global blockchain conference.

Ripple is participating as the main sponsor. Partners include Toss, Industrial Bank of Korea, Hana Bank, DB Insurance, the Korea Fintech Industry Association and law firm Bae, Kim & Lee. More than 20 venture capital firms and accelerators will also cooperate.

Applications will be accepted from April 1 to May 6, and 12 teams will advance to the final round through document screening. Final presentations will be held in Seoul's Yeouido district on June 25.

The total prize pool is 32 million won ($23,200), with 5 million won ($3,620) for first place, 3 million won ($2,170) for second place and 2 million won ($1,450) for third place. Separate special prizes will also be awarded.

Winning teams will receive legal advisory support and expenses for attending a global conference. They will also be offered access to the XRPL Grants program through Ripple Ledger Korea and an opportunity for up to $200,000 in non-dilutive support.

A Seoul Fintech Lab official said the organization expects the program to uncover digital-asset ideas connected to the global blockchain ecosystem. The official added that it will continue supporting participants so they can grow into operating businesses.

Christina Chan, Ripple's senior director of ecosystem growth, said South Korea is an important market and that the program will support entrepreneurs driving innovation on the XRP Ledger.
