Iran's Foreign Ministry said the US must stop Israel's strikes on Lebanon.
Walter Bloomberg reported on June 9 that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh told state-run Fars News Agency that Iran had come close the previous night to responding to what he described as Israel's ceasefire violation, but Pakistan intervened.
Khatibzadeh said any peace in the region must include Lebanon and that the next few hours would be critical.
