Securitize, a platform for tokenized securities, has appointed former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission official Brett Redfearn as president ahead of an initial public offering. The move is being viewed as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its leadership team before a listing.
CoinDesk reported on May 9 that Securitize had named Redfearn as president.
Redfearn previously served as a director at the SEC and later worked at Coinbase as head of capital markets. Before joining the SEC, he also worked at JPMorgan.
He will also join Securitize’s board of directors and help oversee the company’s operations and strategy.
