Forecast Trend Report by Period

President Donald Trump claimed most of Iran's naval capabilities had been disabled and signaled a hard-line response to any attempt at a maritime blockade.
On June 13, Trump wrote on Truth Social that "the Iranian Navy has been completely destroyed" and that 158 vessels had sunk to the seabed.
He added that some fast attack craft were not struck because they were deemed to pose a lower level of threat. Those vessels would be destroyed immediately if they approached the blockade zone, he wrote.
Trump also said maritime interdiction would be carried out rapidly and forcefully, using the same approach applied to drug-smuggling vessels at sea.
