Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has publicly disclosed a Bitcoin purchase, in what was described as the first such investment by a British politician.

Crypto media outlet BeInCrypto reported on June 13 that Farage bought about 2 million pounds, or roughly $2.5 million, worth of Bitcoin through StackBTC.

The purchase marks the first publicly disclosed Bitcoin investment by a UK politician and underscores a broader shift toward digital-asset adoption in political circles.

Farage has previously said he would accept political donations in digital assets. He also invested about 260,000 pounds in StackBTC, a Bitcoin treasury company listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Markets are watching whether broader participation in digital assets by political figures will coincide with the sector's growing acceptance in mainstream finance.
