Tron is pursuing a quantum-resistant upgrade.
Justin Sun, founder of Tron, wrote on X on June 14 that the initiative for Tron’s post-quantum upgrade had been officially launched. He said the effort is aimed at strengthening Tron’s quantum-resistance technology and that a technical roadmap will be released soon.
“Quantum security should not be debatable,” Sun wrote. “It should be a feature.” He said no Tron user should lose assets to threats posed by quantum computing. He also said Tron will become the first major public blockchain to implement on its mainnet post-quantum cryptographic signatures standardized by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology.
