Morgan Stanley bought about $84 million worth of Bitcoin in the first week after launching its exchange-traded fund.
Blockchain analytics firm Arkham said on Aug. 15 that Morgan Stanley’s spot Bitcoin ETF, MSBT, purchased $83.6 million worth of Bitcoin in its debut week. As of that date, the ETF’s on-chain address held $64.4 million worth of Bitcoin.
It is the first time an address tied to Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin ETF has been disclosed. Some of the Bitcoin bought through the ETF may have been stored across multiple wallets as part of fund operations.
