Catalyze held its "AI Infrastructure Con," centered on the convergence of AI and Web3 infrastructure, and shared views on industry applications and future direction.

The company said June 16 that it hosted the event in Seoul on June 15, focusing on real-world use cases for AI technology and Web3 infrastructure as well as the potential for integration across industries. About 300 people attended to discuss ecosystem trends and practical applications.

Catalyze co-hosted the event with RedStone and Squid. Speakers included representatives from global Web3 infrastructure projects and traditional financial institutions, including Chris Wong of RedStone, Pig of Squid, Garrett Christian Lim of Midnight, Jake of XRPL Korea and Tani of Descent.

Traditional financial firms including NH Investment & Securities and Hana Securities also participated. Discussions covered links between on-chain finance and existing financial systems, as well as opportunities for expansion. A total of 20 global Web3 projects took part as speakers, while 11 university academic societies joined as partners.

Sessions covered changes in decentralized trading structures, the on-chain integration of real-world assets, stablecoin infrastructure, AI-based autonomous finance, AI agents and interoperability. A session on the outlook for stablecoins in South Korea over the next five years drew particular attention.

A Catalyze official said the event provided a concrete look at how blockchain is converging with traditional finance and AI technology and offered a chance to gauge the industry's direction.
