Al Jazeera, citing multiple Pakistani sources, reported on June 16 that a "major breakthrough" had been made on an agreement over Iran’s nuclear program.

A Pakistani delegation visited Iran on June 15 to deliver a message from the US. Al Jazeera reported that the delegation has continued to relay messages between Washington and Tehran, and that Pakistani officials are expecting a major breakthrough on Iran’s nuclear issue. The outlet added that substantial progress had been made and that Pakistan is expected to be able to persuade Iran, citing the sources.

US President Donald Trump told Fox Business on June 15 that the Iran war would end "very soon." He added, "We’ll see what happens," and said Iran is eager to negotiate.
