A fund under global asset manager Capital Group has increased its investment in Strategy, a major corporate holder of Bitcoin, in a move that underscores growing institutional demand for indirect Bitcoin exposure.
BitcoinTreasuries.net said on April 21 that Capital Group's American Funds Fundamental Investors (ANCFX) recently bought an additional 4.32 million shares of Strategy. The purchase was worth about $747 million.
The transaction increased the fund's total holdings in Strategy to 10.33 million shares, with the stake valued at about $1.78 billion.
Strategy is a prominent listed company with large Bitcoin holdings at the corporate level. Institutional investors have used the stock as a way to gain indirect exposure to Bitcoin prices.
