Iran draws up provocation strategy and targets

Iran is preparing for the possibility of renewed war as a ceasefire nears its end and prospects for resuming negotiations remain uncertain.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported on April 21 that Tehran is drawing up a new provocation strategy for a fresh phase of military conflict.
During the two-week ceasefire, Iran assessed the chances of war as very high, according to Tasnim. It has redeployed military assets and prepared a new list of attack targets.
Tasnim also warned that Iran is ready to inflict severe pain on the US and Israel as soon as war breaks out. A second round of peace talks between Washington and Tehran, expected toward the end of the ceasefire, has effectively collapsed.
