Dunamu Inc. is expanding the Upbit brand through a web variety show featuring K-pop artists.

The company said on April 24 it will launch “After Inkigayo! UP Karaoke,” a web series produced with the team behind SBS’s Inkigayo music program. The show features artists after their Inkigayo performances in a coin karaoke-style set themed around Upbit, combining live singing with talk segments.

The lineup includes 20 K-pop acts from South Korea and overseas, including &TEAM, BABYMONSTER and BOYNEXTDOOR. Each act will appear in two episodes over a two-week period, bringing the full series to 40 episodes. Performers will sing two to three songs per episode, including their own tracks and songs by other artists.

The series debuted on April 23 and new episodes will air every Thursday on the SBS Inkigayo YouTube channel and Upbit’s official YouTube channel. Each episode runs about 20 minutes.

Dunamu also added a user participation feature tied to the series. In the Upbit app, the company plans to run a fan vote on which album track fans want their artist to sing, linking viewership with in-app engagement.

Dunamu said it created the series to make the Upbit brand experience more familiar through K-pop. The company added that it will continue pursuing content formats that combine culture and branding.
