Wavebridge, a digital-asset infrastructure company serving institutional and corporate clients, said on April 27 that it has started custody support for 11 stablecoins across six fiat currencies.

The new multi-currency custody service expands beyond the company’s existing dollar-focused offering, allowing clients to store and manage stablecoins tied to multiple currencies in one place.

The supported assets include five U.S. dollar-based tokens — USDT, USDC, USDG, PYUSD and RLUSD — as well as EURC for the euro, JPYC for the Japanese yen, XSGD for the Singapore dollar, BRLA and BRZ for the Brazilian real, and AUDD for the Australian dollar.

Wavebridge said the service establishes a custody framework covering stablecoins linked to major regional currencies across North America, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, Oceania and Latin America.

The company plans to gradually expand support to stablecoins based on the Mexican peso and Hong Kong dollar.

Over the longer term, Wavebridge aims to build what it describes as a “stablecoin-based bank” model. The concept would combine foreign-exchange, payments and fund-transfer functions on top of custody infrastructure built around stablecoin deposits.

Chief Executive Officer Oh Jong-wook said stablecoins are moving beyond their role as a payment tool within the digital-asset market and are becoming infrastructure for cross-border corporate payments and settlements. He added that Wavebridge has built custody coverage that allows clients to store and manage stablecoins across multiple currencies in one place.
