US Military Turns Back 6 Tankers Carrying 10.5 Million Barrels of Iranian Oil

The U.S. military has blocked multiple tankers carrying Iranian crude and forced them to turn back.
BlockBeats, a digital-asset media outlet, reported on April 27 that six tankers carrying about 10.5 million barrels of Iranian oil were intercepted by the U.S. military and sent back to Iran through the Strait of Hormuz, citing data from tanker-tracking website TankerTrackers.com.
Some cargoes appear to have passed through the blockade. One tanker carrying about 4 million barrels of Iranian crude cleared the U.S. maritime blockade on April 24, according to the report.
The measure reflects tighter maritime controls as tensions between the U.S. and Iran continue. It could affect global crude supplies and increase oil-price volatility.
