President Donald Trump claimed Iran is effectively in a state of collapse amid internal turmoil.

In a Truth Social post on April 28, Trump wrote that Iran had told the U.S. it was in a “State of Collapse” and was asking to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.

He added that Iran is working through leadership issues and is rushing to reopen the waterway.
