Forecast Trend Report by Period

K Wave Media, a US-listed media company, has abandoned its Bitcoin treasury strategy and shifted to investing in artificial intelligence infrastructure, marking a sharp pivot away from crypto.
Cointelegraph reported on May 4 that the company disclosed in a Form 6-K filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to commit up to $485 million to building AI infrastructure instead of its Bitcoin treasury plan.
The funds will be used for data centers, GPU-based computing infrastructure and related technology investments. They represent a reallocation of part of the capital originally earmarked for the Bitcoin strategy under a $500 million stock purchase agreement.
The move is part of a broader restructuring plan that also includes the sale of subsidiary Play Co. and a plan to reduce about $48 million in debt and contingent liabilities.
K Wave Media had announced a Bitcoin treasury strategy for 2025 as part of a broader capital-markets overhaul. The latest decision fully resets that strategy.
Chief Executive Officer Ted Kim said the company aims to become a meaningful participant in the fast-growing AI infrastructure market.
The company is also considering changing its name to Talivar Technologies, subject to shareholder approval at a general meeting in July 2026.
