Iran’s lead negotiator for ending the war signaled a stronger response against what he called the US “liberation project.”

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s parliamentary speaker and chief negotiator for ending the war, wrote on X on May 5 that “the US knows full well it cannot endure the continuation of the current situation.”

“We have not even started yet,” he added.

Ghalibaf also wrote that “a new equation in the Strait of Hormuz is stabilizing.” He accused the US and its allies of jeopardizing the security of shipping and energy transport through ceasefire violations and the enforcement of a blockade.
