Forecast Trend Report by Period

Digital-asset investment products recorded $117.8 million in net inflows last week, extending their streak of weekly inflows to five. The weekly gain, however, was driven by a sharp turnaround at the end of the week after investor sentiment remained weak for most of the period.
CoinShares said in a report released May 5 that global digital-asset investment products posted $117.8 million in net inflows over the past week. The market saw $619 million in outflows from the start of the week through Thursday, before $737 million flowed in on Friday, turning the weekly total positive. Friday's total was one of the largest single-day inflows of 2026. Total assets under management were little changed from the previous week at $155 billion.
The US posted $47.5 million in net inflows, slowing sharply from $1.1 billion a week earlier. Germany recorded $43.8 million in inflows, while Canada saw $16 million, indicating comparatively steady demand.
Bitcoin investment products drew $192.1 million in net inflows, lifting cumulative inflows this year to $4.2 billion. Even so, that was sharply below the roughly $1 billion average weekly inflow over the past three weeks. Short-Bitcoin products also attracted $6 million.
Ethereum posted $81.6 million in net outflows, ending a three-week run in which inflows had exceeded $190 million each week. Only four assets recorded net inflows this week, down from nine in the previous week.
CoinShares said risk aversion dominated during the week, but risk appetite improved sharply on Friday, reversing the weekly flow trend.
