President Donald Trump said the US would begin large-scale bombing if Iran does not agree to carry out its commitments under a deal.
Writing on Truth Social on May 6, Trump said the US military operation against Iran known as “Epic Fury” would end if Tehran agrees to implement what it had promised. He added that the Strait of Hormuz would be open to everyone, including Iran, through what he described as a highly effective blockade.
Trump also escalated pressure on Tehran. “If Iran does not agree, the bombing will begin,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, the intensity and level will be far greater than before.”
