MyDoge, a platform built on Dogecoin, has launched a broad beta program as it moves to expand the Dogecoin application ecosystem.
On May 8, MyDoge said on its official channels that it had recently opened the MyDoge V3 beta service to a limited group of users. The beta offers the first application experience built on DogeOS.
DogeOS is an application layer designed to enable financial services, trading functions and consumer applications on top of Dogecoin.
The newly released MyDoge V3 adds multichain swaps and bridges, trading, decentralized finance, or DeFi, and gaming features to its existing Dogecoin wallet, transfer and tipping functions.
It also includes social features that allow users to track real-time reactions on X, formerly Twitter, related to specific tokens. MyDoge said MyDoge V3 will serve as an integrated platform for accessing the Dogecoin ecosystem.
Participation in the beta program was limited to fewer than 30 users. Selected participants will be the first to test early Dogecoin-based applications, and their feedback will be reflected in product development.
Jordan Jefferson, founder and chief executive officer of MyDoge and DogeOS, said the Dogecoin community has spent years creating real-world use cases but lacked the financial application infrastructure to support them. He added that MyDoge V3 would serve as the starting point.
