Iran's military has seized a tanker in nearby waters, media reports said.

Tasnim News Agency, an Iranian semi-official outlet, reported on May 8 that Iranian naval special forces seized the tanker Ocean Koi, which it said was trying to disrupt Iran's oil exports and profits.

Ship-tracking sites MarineTraffic and VesselFinder show the vessel was Barbados-flagged and changed its name to Jin Li earlier this year. It had recently been sailing in the Gulf of Oman.
