Iran has delivered its response to a US ceasefire proposal to Pakistan, the mediator in the talks, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported on May 10.
The report did not disclose details of the response.
Under the proposed framework, negotiations at this stage will focus on ending the war in the region, IRNA said.
President Donald Trump said on May 8, when asked by reporters whether Iran had responded to US demands, that he would probably receive a letter that night.
Axios reported on May 6 that Washington and Tehran were close to signing a one-page memorandum of understanding on a ceasefire.
