International oil prices fell during intraday trading, marking a short-term correction.

Odaily, a digital-asset news outlet, reported on May 11 that US West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude each dropped by about $1 in the short term.

WTI briefly fell below $97 a barrel, while Brent touched an intraday low of $101.03.

Oil prices had come under upward pressure recently amid tensions in the Middle East and supply concerns. They are now showing signs of a correction as investors take profits and volatility rises.
