President Donald Trump said he is considering restarting “Project Freedom,” drawing a sharp response from Iran, which said it is prepared for any scenario.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran’s parliament, wrote on X on May 11 that “our armed forces are ready to respond decisively to any aggression.” Wrong strategies and decisions always produce wrong results, he added, and “the whole world has already realized this.”

Ghalibaf said Iran was prepared for all options and that “they will be surprised” by its response. His comments appeared to answer Trump’s hard-line message.

Asked by reporters about the state of the ceasefire with Iran, Trump said it was “incredibly weak” and at “the weakest” point. He added that the ceasefire was “massively on life support,” like a situation in which “a doctor comes in and says there’s about a 1% chance.”

Earlier, in an interview with Fox News, Trump said he was reviewing whether to restart the suspended Project Freedom.
