Iran has warned it could raise uranium enrichment to 90%, a weapons-grade level, if it is attacked again. The issue of Tehran's right to enrich uranium is emerging as a central sticking point in US-Iran negotiations.

BlockBeats, a crypto-focused media outlet, reported on May 12 that Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said Iran could consider raising enrichment to 90% as one of its response options if it comes under attack again.

He added that the issue will be discussed in Iran's parliament.

The question of uranium-enrichment rights has become the biggest source of friction in recent talks between the US and Iran.

Iran reiterated a day earlier that its right to enrich uranium is "not up for negotiation." The US, by contrast, has maintained that Iran should either ship its highly enriched uranium abroad or halt enrichment activities for at least 20 years, the report said.

Meanwhile, betting has continued on prediction market platform Polymarket over when Iran will agree to stop enriching uranium. PolyBeats, a BlockBeats affiliate, showed the odds of a deal by the end of May at 7%, rising to 28% by the end of June and 54% by the end of this year.
