Bithumb Sharing Center to Hold Creator-Led Charity Flea Market

Bithumb, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, said it will hold the "ICE FLEA MARKET with Bithumb Sharing Spring Switch Club" with beauty, fashion and lifestyle MCN company ICE Creative at the Bithumb Sharing Center on May 16.

The Bithumb Sharing Center is a social contribution space that supports individuals and groups working in the social, cultural, arts and environmental fields. It also runs social contribution programs and is used as a free rental venue and community hub.

Fourteen creators from ICE Creative, including Sunny Channel, Dayoung and Serity, will take part in the event. They will sell personal and collectible items and interact with visitors on site. The participating creators have a combined subscriber base of about 3.5 million.

The event will be held under the theme of "natural sharing." Visitors will be able to participate in donation efforts by buying creators' personal items, and part of the proceeds will be used to support vulnerable groups.

Bithumb will also apply a "no shopping bag" principle at the market. The company said the eco-friendly approach is meant to reduce the use of disposable items and promote value-driven consumption.

The venue will also feature a photo zone, a creator photo wall and rest areas. Bithumb said the setup is designed to help visitors experience the Bithumb Sharing Center as a cultural and community space.

A Bithumb official said the company was pleased that the Bithumb Sharing Center was being used both as a stage for people with fresh ideas and as a place to share the value of giving. Bithumb plans to continue supporting the center so it can serve as a shared-growth hub for a range of community activities.
