World Cup-Themed Meme Coin WORLDCUP Surges Past $10 Million Market Cap

The 2026 FIFA World Cup-themed meme coin WORLDCUP has surged past a $10 million market capitalization. In the market for national team-themed tokens, France’s coin has reached the highest valuation, prompting speculation that expectations for the team are being reflected in prices.

BlockBeats, citing GMGN data, reported on May 22 that WORLDCUP, a meme coin in the Solana ecosystem, climbed as high as $12 million in market value during the session. Its market capitalization now stands at about $10.01 million.

WORLDCUP has gained about 90% over the past 24 hours. On-chain trading volume totaled $8.2 million over the same period.

The project is themed around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to begin on June 11. Its community operates WORLDCUP as the main token and has also issued meme coins for each of the 48 participating national teams.

The project said 50% of trading fees from the national team meme coins are used to buy back WORLDCUP tokens.
