Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, stressed the importance of simple living and personal relationships over the pursuit of outsized success.
In a post on his official X account on May 22, Zhao wrote that people are conditioned to chase “more of everything” — getting bigger, making more money and accumulating more virtual assets (cryptocurrencies).
He added that trying to have more AI agents, more friends, and more projects and plans ultimately left him unhappier.
“Happy people maintain a small circle of friends and live simple daily lives,” Zhao wrote.
Zhao has continued to comment on his personal life, education and investment activities since stepping back from front-line management at Binance.
