In a post on his official X account on May 22, Zhao wrote that people are conditioned to chase “more of everything,” including getting bigger, making more money and accumulating more cryptocurrencies.
He added that he tried to surround himself with more AI agents, make more friends, and pursue more projects and plans, but ended up unhappier.
According to Zhao, happy people maintain a small circle of friends and live simple daily lives.
Zhao has continued to comment on his personal life, education and investment activities since stepping back from day-to-day management at Binance.
