President Donald Trump said he may soon decide whether to accept Iran’s latest draft agreement after reviewing it with his advisers. Markets are closely watching for signs of progress in negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Walter Bloomberg reported on May 23 that Trump plans to discuss the latest draft with aides and said he "could make a decision around Sunday."

The US is seeking limits on uranium enrichment and steps to address highly enriched uranium, according to the report. Washington and Tehran have recently continued talks that include extending a ceasefire and easing sanctions.

Iran has maintained that detailed discussions of nuclear issues are not part of the initial negotiating framework, leaving clear differences between the two sides. Tehran previously said uranium enrichment and the Strait of Hormuz remain key sticking points.

Markets are focused on the possibility that the outcome of the talks could increase volatility across global financial markets, including international oil prices and dollar flows. A final agreement remains uncertain as gaps persist over the nuclear program and sanctions relief.
