Dormant Ethereum Pre-Mine Whale Wallet Reactivates After 10.8 Years With More Than 6,800x Gain
Forecast Trend Report by Period

A dormant whale wallet from Ethereum's early days has become active again after more than a decade. The wallet's holdings are now worth more than 6,800 times their value in 2015.
BlockBeats, a crypto news outlet, reported on May 25 that Whale Alert had flagged a dormant pre-mine address holding 2,000 Ether as active again after 10.8 years.
The 2,000 Ether is now valued at $4,234,171. In 2015, the holdings were worth just $620.
Based on those figures, the wallet's return has exceeded 6,800-fold, the report said. A pre-mine address refers to a wallet holding tokens created or allocated during Ethereum's earliest stage.
Market participants sometimes interpret the reactivation of long-dormant wallets as a sign of possible selling or portfolio reallocation. Still, a wallet becoming active does not by itself confirm that a sale will follow.
Moves by early Ethereum holders are viewed as an on-chain indicator that can affect market sentiment. If large long-held positions are transferred to exchanges, they can add short-term supply pressure. But the move could also reflect routine wallet management or a change in custody arrangements.
