U.S. Bitcoin miner TeraWulf has acquired a large data center site in Kentucky to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure.
ODaily reported on May 29 that TeraWulf had acquired the Muskie Data Campus, a high-performance computing development site in eastern Kentucky. The deal advances TeraWulf’s strategy to develop a shovel-ready AI and HPC site with long-term power supply and transmission infrastructure, the report said.
The site has total power capacity of 1 gigawatt. The first 500 megawatts of supply will be phased in from the second half of 2028. The remaining 500 megawatts is targeted for the second half of 2030.
