Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang will visit South Korea this week for a series of meetings with leaders of the country’s largest business groups, as the company moves to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence, robotics and other advanced future industries. The trip will be Huang’s first to South Korea in seven months, after he attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO Summit in Gyeongju in October 2025.

Huang is expected to arrive as early as the evening of June 4 after wrapping up key events at Nvidia’s annual AI conference, GTC Taipei 2026, in Taiwan, according to industry officials on June 1.

During the visit, Huang plans to meet SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Naver Global Investment Officer Lee Hae-jin and Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won. Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee will not attend because of a previously scheduled overseas trip, industry officials said.

The venue for the meetings is also drawing attention. Popular samgyeopsal restaurants in Seoul’s Hongdae or Seongsu neighborhoods are among the leading candidates. The choice would reflect Huang’s preference for informal exchanges. In October 2025, Huang, Jay Y. Lee and Chung drew attention when they met at a chicken restaurant in Seoul’s Samseong-dong.

Industry officials expect the meetings to mark a turning point in broadening cooperation between Nvidia and South Korean companies beyond the AI semiconductor supply chain into robotics and physical AI.

Particular attention is focused on Huang’s meeting with Park and his broader engagement with Doosan Group. In 2025, Doosan Vice Chairman Park Ji-won visited Nvidia’s US headquarters to build a foundation for cooperation in AI accelerators and data centers. In April, Madison Huang, a senior director and Nvidia’s global product marketing manager, also visited Doosan Tower in Bundang. During his stay in South Korea, Huang also plans a public appearance at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, where he is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears home game.

Huang is also coordinating a June 8 visit to Naver’s second headquarters, 1784, in Bundang, Seongnam. The building brings together Naver’s future technologies, including robotics, cloud, digital twin and a dedicated 5G network.
