SK Telecom Hits 52-Week High on Nvidia Partnership Optimism

SK Telecom Co. shares hit a new 52-week high on June 2 as optimism over cooperation with Nvidia Corp. boosted investor sentiment.

At 9:31 a.m., the stock was trading at 124,700 won, up 12,500 won, or 11.14%, from the previous session. It rose as high as 140,300 won during intraday trading, setting a fresh 52-week high.

SK Telecom was introduced as one of Nvidia's key partners in manufacturing-focused physical artificial intelligence during a keynote speech at GTC Taipei in Taiwan on June 1.

The keynote video featured SK Telecom's digital twin technology. A representative case showed SK Telecom and SK Hynix Inc. using Nvidia Omniverse to apply digital twins to semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Digital twins are emerging as a key physical AI technology. They recreate real factories and equipment in virtual space, allowing companies to simulate and verify in advance the effects of process changes and equipment placement.
