More Bitcoin has moved from wallets linked to Mt. Gox. A portion was then sent in a test transfer to an exchange, renewing attention on whether the activity is tied to creditor repayments.

Odaily, a digital-asset news outlet, reported on June 2 that on-chain analyst Ember said Mt. Gox transferred 116.3 BTC from a cold wallet to a hot wallet about three hours earlier. The tokens were worth about $8.25 million.

The Mt. Gox wallet later sent 0.000017 BTC to crypto exchange Bitstamp as a test transfer. Based on the wallet's past transfer patterns, Ember said the 116.3 BTC could later be moved to Bitstamp.

Mt. Gox currently holds 34,500 BTC. Those holdings are valued at about $2.39 billion.

Bitcoin transfers tied to Mt. Gox have drawn market attention because they may be linked to creditor repayments or exchange deposits. Still, wallet movements do not necessarily mean an immediate market sale, and any actual sale would need to be confirmed through additional on-chain flows and exchange deposit records.
