Goldman Sachs projects SpaceX’s artificial intelligence business will expand about 100-fold by 2030, a forecast that market observers say underpins the company’s massive valuation.

Walter Bloomberg reported on June 4 that Goldman Sachs expects SpaceX’s AI revenue to climb to $322 billion in 2030 from $3.2 billion in 2025.

That would mark roughly 100-fold growth. Based on that outlook, Goldman Sachs estimated SpaceX’s valuation at about $1.78 trillion in an initial public offering scenario.

The bank also forecasts SpaceX’s total revenue will reach $474 billion in 2030. It projects AI will contribute $322 billion, Starlink $144 billion and the rocket business $8.3 billion.

Goldman Sachs also expects EBITDA to expand to about $352 billion over the same period.

Still, the report said the forecast assumes aggressive expansion of the AI business. It added that concerns remain over the business viability and execution of xAI, which is currently lossmaking.

Market observers say growth in AI infrastructure and satellite communications is a key variable in valuing SpaceX.
