Kremlin Says No Trump-Putin Call Is Planned, Russia-Ukraine Contacts Continue
Forecast Trend Report by Period

The Kremlin said no call is currently planned between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Markets are watching diplomatic moves tied to US-Russia relations and the war in Ukraine.
Walter Bloomberg reported on June 9 that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there are no current plans for a phone call between Trump and Putin.
Peskov said Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the US side's negotiators, remain in contact with Russian and Ukrainian officials.
No schedule has been set for their next visit to Russia, he added.
The remarks came as diplomatic discussions continue over ending the Russia-Ukraine war and securing a ceasefire.
Markets view the prospect of high-level contact between the US and Russia as a factor that could affect progress in negotiations over the war in Ukraine.
