US Energy Secretary Says He Is Unaware of Any Removal of Iranian Oil
Forecast Trend Report by Period

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said he was unaware of any US action to remove Iranian crude from the market, a comment that contrasts with President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on the issue.
On June 10, Wright was asked about Trump’s comments on blocking Iranian oil exports and replied that he was not aware of the US removing crude from Iran, Walter Bloomberg reported.
Trump had earlier said the US was stripping millions of barrels of Iranian oil from the market each night, asserting that Washington was blocking Iranian oil exports on a large scale.
Wright’s remarks appeared to differ somewhat from the president’s description.
The US and Iran have remained at odds over nuclear talks and sanctions, while rising tensions in the Middle East have added to uncertainty over oil supplies.
Markets are watching US sanctions policy toward Iran and whether Washington moves to curb the country’s oil exports, with potential implications for crude prices and the global energy market.
