Iran has not yet made a final decision on an agreement with the US, the country's Foreign Ministry said after President Donald Trump claimed a deal was effectively complete.
Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported on June 11 that a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tehran had yet to make a final decision on an agreement with Washington.
The spokesperson said relevant authorities are reviewing the details of the draft agreement and that the government will make an official announcement once a final conclusion is reached.
The comments came shortly after Trump said an agreement with Iran was effectively complete and could be signed in Europe as early as this weekend.
Fars, Iran's semi-official news agency, had earlier reported that the US accepted language proposed by Iran and that the text was highly likely to be approved in Iran.
Fars also reported that no final agreement had been reached and that the formal approval process was not complete.
