Chiliz Expands National Team Fan Token Lineup to Six Countries, Launches CHZZK Event

Chiliz, a sports and entertainment blockchain company, has expanded its national team fan token lineup to six countries.

The company said on June 12 that it added Belgium’s national team fan token, building a portfolio that now covers six countries: Argentina, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa and Belgium.

The expansion gives Chiliz a national team fan token ecosystem spanning Europe, South America and Africa ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. The company is stepping up its national team-focused SportFi strategy as it expands its global sports blockchain business.

In South Korea, Chiliz is also running a World Cup viewing event linked to CHZZK, Naver’s streaming platform. Users can log in through Naver Pay Wallet and complete quests on CHZZK, including watching live World Cup broadcasts, joining live interactions and supporting streamers.

Participants will receive one of 12 World Cup NFTs issued on the Chiliz Chain based on their level of activity. The service combines sports viewing with a blockchain-based rewards system.

Chiliz has also been widening its reach among South Korean Web3 users as Naver Pay Wallet expands its user base. Naver Pay Wallet operates on the Chiliz Chain and offers on-chain services tied to a range of sports and entertainment content.

Alexandre Dreyfus, Chiliz’s chief executive officer, said the addition of top national teams including Belgium strengthens the company’s fan token lineup for soccer fans worldwide. Chiliz will continue to expand real-world use cases for its blockchain-based SportFi model through national team fan tokens and a CHZZK-linked rewards system, he added.
