BBVA Partners With OpenAI, Rolls Out ChatGPT Across Banking Operations

Spanish lender BBVA is partnering with OpenAI to drive an artificial intelligence overhaul across its banking operations.

ODaily reported on June 12 that BBVA had signed a strategic partnership with OpenAI and would adopt ChatGPT Enterprise. The bank plans to use the enterprise service to reorganize its operations around AI.

The partnership centers on BBVA's shift to becoming "AI-native." The bank identified customer experience, corporate banking, risk management, operational efficiency and software development as key areas for AI deployment.

BBVA is already using more than 20,000 customized versions of ChatGPT internally, the report said. The tools have been deployed across core functions including legal, finance and marketing.
