Iran has denied reports that it could sign a memorandum of understanding with the US on ending the war in Geneva as early as this weekend.

Walter Bloomberg reported on June 12 that an Iranian source called claims of a June 14 signing in Geneva "completely false."

President Donald Trump said on June 11 that the US had reached a "good agreement" regarding the war with Iran. He added that it would be finalized within days and that a signing ceremony would probably be held in Europe.

CNN reported on June 12, citing multiple sources, that Geneva, Switzerland, was the leading venue for a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran. The network said nothing had been finalized and that Vienna was also under discussion as a possible location, according to an Iranian source.
