President Donald Trump said Iran’s claims about the terms of a ceasefire deal were false.

In a post on Truth Social on June 12, Trump wrote that the terms Iran leaked to the “fake news” media had nothing to do with the conditions agreed to in writing. Statements implying there was an agreement on the terms described by Iran were also “totally unrelated to the truth,” he wrote.

Trump also called Iran “very dishonorable” to deal with. He said Tehran was incapable of negotiating in good faith and said its drone attack the previous night on an Indian vessel departing the Strait of Hormuz had been fully repelled, but was “absolutely unacceptable.”

He added that Iran “needs to come to its senses quickly.”
