President Donald Trump said Russia must reach a deal with Ukraine, as Group of Seven leaders discussed the war in Ukraine at their summit.

Crypto-focused media outlet BlockBeats reported on June 16, citing Xinhua News Agency, that Trump said, "Russia should make a deal with Ukraine."

The first session of the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, on June 16 focused on the Ukraine crisis.

After the meeting, Trump told reporters that both Russia and Ukraine were suffering heavy casualties in the war and that he would do "everything possible" to resolve the conflict.

Markets have viewed the Russia-Ukraine war and risks in the Middle East as key geopolitical factors affecting global commodity prices and sentiment toward risk assets.
