US private-sector job growth slowed from the previous week.

BlockBeats, citing Jinshi, reported on June 16 that weekly US ADP employment for May 30 increased by 25,500.

That was lower than the previous reading, which showed an increase of 29,000.

The ADP employment gauge tracks hiring trends in the US private sector and is used to assess whether the labor market is cooling. A weaker pace of job growth could heighten concerns about an economic slowdown and affect the Federal Reserve's policy path.

Markets are also watching inflation and employment data ahead of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting. Signs of softer hiring could ease pressure for rate increases, but the Fed's policy outlook has become more complicated as headline inflation remains elevated.
