June 19 in-person signing ceremony in Switzerland remains uncertain

A White House official said on June 17 that President Donald Trump had formally signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, aimed at ending the war with Iran.
Reuters reported that the official confirmed Trump signed the document on Wednesday, June 17.
Axios, citing two senior US officials, reported that the United States and Iran signed the MOU electronically on Wednesday, June 17, and that the agreement had taken effect. The two sides had originally planned to meet in Switzerland on June 19 for an in-person signing ceremony. Axios also reported that there had been discussions about moving up the signing date to reopen the Strait of Hormuz before June 19.
Barak Ravid of Axios wrote on X that Trump signed the document while having dinner with the French president at the Palace of Versailles, and that a photographed copy of the signed document was sent to Iran and the mediating country.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the presidents of both countries had formally signed the MOU.
Because both sides have completed the MOU through electronic signatures, it remains unclear whether the in-person signing ceremony scheduled for June 19 will go ahead as planned.
